MOV's NO MORE in CALABARZON... and a lot more...

MOV's NO MORE in CALABARZON... and a lot more...
- RD Dr. Dads San Antonio

To enhance the welfare of CALABARZON teachers, Regional Director Diosdado San Antonio has removed the Means of Verification (MOVs) for teachers who will avail the six-hour workday, as announced at Queen Margarette Hotel, Lucena City, September 21.

RD San Antonio has signed a memorandum about enhancing the welfare of teachers in CALABARZON and announced its effectivity and scope during his speech as honorary guest during the Gawad Paladian 2018. This is  an event made to honor teachers and non-teaching personnel of Luis Palad Integrated High School.

“[Teachers] should just be allowed to enjoy the six- hour actual teaching time,” RD San Antonio said.

On the six-hour teaching policy, teachers are not exempted from the requirements for public employees to render eight hours of workday. The remaining two hours are used to accomplish other work-related tasks.

The regional director stated that public school teachers are not required anymore to submit their MOVs or evidence such as pictures, reports, and documents to prove that they have served their two-hour work outside the school premises. It is enough that teachers are able to pass their mandatory reports on time and render very satisfactory teaching services.

Teachers working for two hours outside of the school premises must still secure a written agreement with the principal.

According to the teachers of the Luis Palad Integrated High School, this memorandum will be a big help to them.

“Malaki ang maitutulong nito lalo na sa mga guro, mas mababawasan ang MOVs na hinihingi ng DepEd (Department of Education) at mas makakatulong dahil mas mapapagaan nito ang trabaho ng mga guro. Maiiwasan na ma-stress ang mga guro, lalo na teaching load na six-hours lang,”  Aldwin Rea, teacher from LPIHS AP Department said.

Meanwhile, LPIHS Principal Gener C. Delos Reyes congratulated and thanked the people and organization who have shown excellent performance in their works and contributed in providing quality education to Paladian students.

“For we, Paladians embody subculture as we always try to accomplish our task beyond expectation. Today we will recognize teachers and employees who have exemplified outstanding performance of their duties and responsibilities and contribution to make our school one of the reputable learning institutions in our region,” Delos Reyes added.

He also mentioned the honorable guests, RD San Antonio, Schools Division Superintendent Catherine P. Talavera, President of School Government Council Abner B. Malabanan, General PTA President/ Chairman of the Committee of Education of the Local Government Kagawad Wenda Saberola, and the President of CSPC Nelson Mendoza.

SDS Talavera also recognized the people who have given contribution and support to LPIHS. “Tanggapin po ninyo ang aming taos pusong pasasalamat sa walang sawang pagtugon ninyo sa amin… inaasahan po namin sa mga susunod pang panahon na kayo po ay nandito at patuloy ang suporta na ibinibigay sa amin,” she added.
